The growing demand in the country made us start this department with well qualified and experienced staff with more than sufficient infrastructural facilities like labs and classrooms. The specialty of this nascent department is having staff with high academic qualifications and space industrial experience. This will enable the students not only to gain the knowledge, but also will give them a special niche in getting a placement.
           
This department imparts knowledge for not only the Aero department, but also to other streams such as CSE, IT, ECE etc, in disseminating fundamentals of engineering. Having seen about the department,  the following sections deals with the infrastructure and faculty.

Faculty

The department came into being with the inception of the college in 2008. Initially staffed with three members, the department grew in strength to five over the two years. The department also conducts classes for other departments in few common engineering subjects like Engineering Drawing and Engineering Workshop Practice which are mandatory for all courses. Induction of new faculty with enhanced qualifications is being done to match the increasing difficulty in the subjects. Continuous upgrading of the skills of the faculty is encouraged.
